The new Brooks Glycerin 17 is among the world's best-selling neutral running shoes on its own merits. Runners who already know it appreciate its comfortable cushioning and the ability to adapt to any type of foot as if it were a glove.
The damping is still based on the DNA Loft system that was incorporated last year in its predecessor.
The biggest changes come in the upper, this year being more breathable than in the previous version thanks to the new Jacquard mesh and the new 3D Print reinforcements better integrated into it.
The weight is still 300 grams in the men's version and 260 grams for the women's version.
DNA Loft: it is the main material aimed at cushioning the impact. We find it in the entire midsole and what differentiates it from previous materials is its softness to absorb impact.
Jaquard WarpKnit: the new mesh of this shoe is structured in an outer layer, more open and ventilated by its perforations, and an inner layer that offers a more marked fit thanks to small internal tensioners that give the shoe its shape. They allow the natural movement of the foot while it adapts to our pressures throughout the transition of the footprint.
Ideal Pressure Zones: consisting of 3 densities in their rubbers to improve the transition of the tread. The intensity of the weight supported in the heel, midsole and toe is not the same and these materials take it into account to graduate the impact.
3D Fit Print on the instep to fix lateral movements in an elastic way, eliminating seams that increase the chances of chafing and friction on the foot.
Omega Flex Grooves is the technology directly attached to the sole that, based on the shape of the omega letter, increases the flexibility of the shoe without compromising stability and cushioning.
